Anthony possesses over 23 years of business experience in the areas of R&D, Six Sigma, Operations, Business Development, and Quality Assurance. He is a seasoned executive with numerous project leadership assignments. His innovation contributions have resulted in $3.5 Billion in sales revenue and $750 Million in reduced business costs.
He has presented at numerous conferences which include the Product Development Management Association (PDMA International), WCBF's Six Sigma LEAN and Design for Six Sigma Chapter meetings, Frost and Sullivan's Financial Six Sigma Conference. He has been a keynote speaker at the University of California at Irvine, Santa Clara University, and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Using analytical tools to capture the Voice of the Customer, Anthony has a successful track record of delivering products that meet market needs and with exceptional quality. The products he has provided leadership on or technical expertise for have never been recalled from markets and have, without exception, exceeded market expectations. On a recent product development effort to save costs, Anthony led a team to invent a new plasma technology, market it, and deploy the technology worldwide. The team's efforts, under his guidance, reduced the cost of goods by over 42%, increased market share over 30%, and created a reliability track record of 7 Sigma. The product is being used today and has generated over $1B in sales.
With his knowledge in business development and Six Sigma, Anthony led a team of Six Sigma Master Black Belts at Citigroup to transform business operations during an economic downturn. His team's efforts reduced operating cost up to $25M per year in loan origination, improve the loan quality index (which also included the detection and response to potential default loans), and provide a business strategy to consolidate and divest operations. Additionally, he provided an outsourcing strategy for servicing loans and created a QA monitoring system using statistical quality controls.
Prior to the formation of VCI, Tony was Senior Vice President of Six Sigma Business Development at Citigroup, the Corporate Executive Director of Business Process Excellence for Johnson & Johnson, Director of Business Development also at Johnson & Johnson, Principal Engineer and Group Leader for Medical Product Development at Pfizer Inc., and Senior Engineer for ultrasonic technologies at Allergan Inc.
Anthony holds a M.S. in Physics from the University of California at Irvine, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Physics from Santa Clara University. He is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and holder of 6 patents. Anthony is a running and biking enthusiast and competes in numerous marathon events during the year.
